HERBST, Ted, 63, of Huber Heights, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born in Vandalia, Ohio on September 23, 1949 to Albert & Laura (Kincaid) Herbst. Ted proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era and was a member of Amvets #464 in Huber Heights. Preceded in death by his parents & several sisters & brothers. Survived by 4 daughters, Deanna Slone (Jeremy), Tricia Herbst, Katie Herbst & Alexandrea Morgan; 6 grandsons & 2 granddaughters; sisters, Sharon & Yvonne; brothers, Richard, Bob & Jerry; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral service 12:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, 2013 at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, “Northridge Chapel,” 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Pastor Todd Hoskins, officiating. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1-4 p.m. Sunday at the George C. Martin Funeral Home.
